Doctors Who See
More Than Eyes
Our doctors are clinically advanced, unexpectedly funny, and genuinely interested in the humans attached to the eyes they’re examining. They got into this because they like people. It turns out that matters quite a bit.
Dr. Tammy Vo
Dr. Tammy Vo started Look + See because she wanted to do things differently — fewer patients, more time, and an experience people actually look forward to.
She trained at UT Austin (Piano, High Honors) before earning her doctorate Magna cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her clinical rotations covered both ends of the spectrum: posterior disease management at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic, and specialty contact lens work for complex corneal conditions at Plaza Vision Center.
She’s the kind of doctor who remembers what you do for work, asks about your last trip, and genuinely keeps up with the latest technology because she finds it interesting — not just because she has to.
When she’s not in the exam room, she’s at a concert, somewhere abroad, or hunting down something delicious to eat.
Dr. Nicole Lee
Dr. Lee loves meeting new patients, talking, educating, and creating long term connections with them. She believes that listening and understanding a patients’ needs is the best way to provide consistently high-quality eye care. She is committed to providing comprehensive eye exams, and relatable treatment experiences for all our patients!
Dr. Lee moved from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands to Austin, TX in 2022 with her husband and their fur baby, Spot. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, traveling and exploring, running, snowboarding and finding new places to eat good food!
Dr. Erica Payne
Dr. Erica Payne grew up in Sealy, Texas, studied biology at UT Austin, then headed to Chicago for her Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry — graduating with clinical honors.
Her training took her across the country: primary care in Austin, a cataract surgery specialty clinic in Mesa, Arizona, and a VA hospital in Montrose, New York. She’s a licensed therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist with the Texas Optometry Board, and brings real depth across routine vision care, dry eye, ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses, myopia control, and pre- and post-operative cataract and laser vision correction.
She’s also just a good person to talk to — especially if you have opinions about Longhorns football, a travel story to swap, or a restaurant recommendation to offer.
An eye exam worth looking forward to. Yes, really.
