The global optical market is dominated by a few massive conglomerates that mass-produce the same frames and control the insurance networks. We choose a different path. We partner with independent eyewear labels — small design houses that use heirloom-quality acetate, Japanese titanium, and ethical manufacturing.

We’re tucked away just south of downtown in Austin’s historic Bouldin Creek neighborhood — a vibrant pocket of South Austin that values independent character as much as we do. Positioned along South First Street right near the bustling South Congress (SoCo) district, our office is easy to get to, complete with dedicated, hassle-free guest parking.
While we love being a walkable fixture for our immediate neighbors in Travis Heights, Galindo, and Zilker, look + see has become a trusted practice for comprehensive eye care throughout Central Texas. On any given day, patients bypass the standard corporate optical chains in their own neighborhoods to visit our clinic. We regularly welcome people driving in from nearby Downtown Austin, Clarksville, and the Market District, as well as communities further out like Westlake, East Austin, Mueller, and North Austin.
Because our specialized medical eye care and independent frame gallery can’t be found in a generic strip mall, we even serve as a destination for patients making the commute from surrounding cities like Round Rock, Pflugerville, Buda, and Kyle. In a region where traffic is a competitive sport, our patients tell us that the unhurried attention of our three doctors makes the trip entirely worth it.
