MYKITA

Engineered in Berlin. Handmade in Germany. Built for people who like clean design, serious comfort, and just enough edge to keep things interesting.

THE BRAND

Minimalism with
better bone structure.

MYKITA was founded in Berlin in 2003 with a very specific obsession: rethink how a frame could be made.

The result is a patented screwless hinge system, high-grade stainless steel construction, and a design language that feels unmistakably modern. Clean, clever, architectural, and cooler than it needs to be.

MYKITA is minimal, but not invisible. Some frames are sleek and barely there. Others use shape, color, contrast, and matte finishes in a way that feels distinctly Berlin: precise, functional, and quietly bold.

Every MYKITA frame is handmade in Germany at the brand’s own workshop, known as HAUS. Design, prototyping, production, and finishing all happen under one roof.

A rare thing in eyewear. And it shows.

WHAT SETS THEM APART

The details that make
the difference.

Screwless Hinges

MYKITA’s patented hinge system eliminates screws entirely. No tiny parts loosening over time. No hinge wobble. No dramatic search for a microscopic screw on your bathroom floor.

The frame moves cleanly, holds its shape, and stays remarkably stable through years of daily wear.

Very German. Very useful.

Stainless Steel Construction

MYKITA frames are made from high-grade stainless steel that is precision-cut, shaped, and hand-finished.

The material allows the frames to be thin, light, flexible, and strong without feeling delicate. It gives MYKITA its signature structure: crisp lines, fine edges, and that satisfying feeling of something engineered properly.

Not overbuilt.
Just very well built.

Genuinely Lightweight

Not “lightweight” in the way every frame brand claims to be lightweight.

Actually lightweight.

MYKITA frames routinely surprise people the moment they put them on. They’re especially good for anyone who is tired of glasses that press, pinch, slide, or slowly become a personal grievance by mid-afternoon.

Several of our own doctors and staff wear them.

That is not a coincidence.

Berlin Design Language

Clean. Precise. Restrained, but not boring.

MYKITA’s aesthetic is rooted in function, proportion, and technical elegance. The frames are minimal in construction, but they still have personality: sharp silhouettes, unexpected color combinations, matte finishes, translucent tones, and sculptural little details that reward a second look.

They do not scream.

They do have something to say.

Handmade, Every One

Each MYKITA frame is handmade in Berlin at HAUS, the brand’s workshop built specifically for designing, prototyping, and producing eyewear under one roof.

That level of control matters. Every curve, hinge, surface, weld, finish, and fit is considered before the frame ever reaches our shelves.

It is not mass-market minimalism.
It is minimalism with standards.

Built to Last

Good frames should outlast trends.

MYKITA’s construction helps the frames hold up to daily wear without the usual hinge looseness, lens instability, or general frame fatigue that shows up in lesser eyewear.

They are modern, technical, and refined, but not precious.

You can wear them hard.
They can take it.

STAFF PICK

The frames we wear ourselves.

Several of our own doctors and staff wear MYKITA every day.

When people who spend all day looking at frames choose these for themselves, that tells you something.

They are comfortable enough for long days, stylish enough to feel intentional, and technical enough to make other frames feel a little unserious.
